If you notice these symptoms, it is a good idea to talk to a mechanic about the possibility of getting an overhaul:
These are just some of the issues that can arise and indicate that it is time to have your diesel engine overhauled. If you notice any of the above problems or think that you might need an overhaul, you should bring your vehicle to a trusted mechanic with ASE certified technicians.
What is an engine overhaul?
An engine overhaul is a major diesel engine repair that involves the removal, disassembly, inspection and repair of an engine. During the overhaul, small parts and components, like bolts, might be replaced with new factory parts. During disassembly, the engine is cleaned thoroughly to remove built-up grime and debris. Since your entire engine is being taken apart, it’s much easier for the mechanic to identify problems and replace malfunctioning parts. Once everything has been cleaned and the necessary replacements have been made, the engine will be put back together and set back into the vehicle.
Benefits of an engine overhaul
An engine overhaul is an excellent option for engines that aren’t old or excessively worn but are still experiencing issues. An engine overhaul can effectively fix any issues with your engine and save you a significant amount of money. Since all of your parts and components are thoroughly cleaned and inspected during an engine overhaul, your mechanic will be able to spot minor issues that you might not have even noticed yet.
How do diagnostics improve truck repair efficiency?
Diagnostics improve efficiency by providing precise fault detection, reducing downtime, and enabling cost-effective repairs. Advanced tools interpret trouble codes and system data, allowing technicians to address issues quickly and accurately. This minimizes trial-and-error repairs and enhances vehicle reliability.

Critical: Professionalism, QualityI wouldn’t use the clowns again! Came in because my regen light was on and wouldn’t go off and check engine fault code was on. They preformed 2 parked regens and used their computer. They said I needed an ECU update, but I just had the ECU replaced 3 months ago. Then they tell me their computer can’t update the ECU because their software is out of date. But yet they still charged me $193.49 for using the computer. It was a complete waste of my time and money. They didn’t get anything resolved, they must be desperate for money!Service: Auto engine diagnosticI wouldn’t use the clowns again! One customer accused us of stealing her speakers! From what i saw this place is five star.Paul was great with me, was broken down with leaking air line, got me out in a timely manner.
