Causes of diesel engine oil leaks
Most oil leaks are a result of deterioration of a part of your engine. The most common cause of oil leaks is the oil gasket. Sludge starts to build up if the engine gets damaged or as it starts to degrade over time. This sludge causes the oil gasket to break down and then oil starts to leak.
Another common part that can cause oil leaks is the oil pan. Since the oil pan is on the underside of your truck it is common for it to get hit with rocks, branches and other debris on the road. All of these can leave small dents in the pan which can easily turn into holes where the engine oil can leak from.
If the oil filler cap is not secured properly or missing entirely, parts of your engine can become covered in oil resulting in oil leaks. The oil filter itself can also be the cause of oil leaks due to the filer wearing out, becoming misaligned or coming loose.
It is strongly advised to consult with a professional on these matters before the issue becomes worse or potentially dangerous. This place is as shady as it gets. They promised to replace my trailor tires at a better cost than everyone else. Turns out I learned the hard way about tires. They replaced my radial tires with nylon bi tires. Brand new tires were getting so hot that they would split in half and shred apart while driving only an hour on them. They said they couldn't help me and gave me a check for a fraction of what I spent with them. Paul is very untrustworthy and does not treat there customers well. Warning, beware of them and if your in a bind and have to use them, make sure your getting what they promise. Went there for force regen and the front desk employee asked me to wait in truck . After waiting for 2 hours went back to office and she said we thought you left and we can’t repair your truck today . Wasted my time . Its better go to 10-4 truck service and also their price is resonable.
